Hack the future

Project information

Hack the future is a multi-disciplinary event in which there are several separate groups which each their own focus.

Me and a fellow student chose for the security ctf: The security CTF is a race with about 15 teams of two students in which you must solve different security related problems. These problems can be steganographic, reverse engineering, breaking into a website, solving a Enigma cipher and so on. The team that scores the most points in the given time (the more difficult the challenge the higher the points for completing it) will be the winner.

As an extra test we even had to present all our findings to a jury, which would evaluate the presentation and change the end score of each team accordingly. In the end we came out as the winning team before and after the jury evaluation.

My main role was mainly network-based exploits, decryption and steganography.
